Taurine – 2-aminoethanesulfonic acid – organic chemical compound, which is a biogenic amino acid. It is a substance classified as a beta-amino acid which, unlike alpha-amino acids, do not form peptide bonds, and thus – proteins, which makes the compound referred to as a non-protein amino acid.
